We’re recruiting for an Internal Sales Coordinator to support our Account Managers through proactive customer contact, opportunity identification, and the management of enquiries, quotations and orders. You’ll act as the first point of contact for customers, provide key updates such as Order Book Reports, and work with the wider team to ensure smooth operations and excellent service.
What you’ll be doing…
Establishing yourself as a key point of contact with our customers, interacting daily via phone, email and web, answering questions and processing orders accurately and with a smile.
Keeping an eye on scheduled orders and consignment stock, working with our Purchasing team to ensure we’ve always got what customers need.
Understanding customer order patterns and trends and spotting opportunities to explore value-added sales.
Working with our warehouse management team to make sure deliveries arrive on time.
Managing backorders and keeping customers updated so they’re never left wondering where things stand.
Resolving customer queries by working with the right teams and ensuring everyone receives clear, helpful answers.
Handling returns and credits, following the correct steps so everything is processed smoothly.
Keeping records up to date and ensuring all interactions are logged and followed up in our CE system.
Attending occasional offsite visits with our Account Managers to ensure we’re delivering the service and focus that sets us apart and is synonymous with the Surfachem name.
Your background…
Must have…
Experience in customer service or customer order management
Strong organisational skills and a good eye for detail
Ability to juggle tasks and stay calm when things get busy
Friendly and approachable, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A positive attitude and the ability to remain steady under pressure
Confident phone manner and strong written communication skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office
Nice to have…
Experience with Dynamics 365
Knowledge of the chemical industry
Export knowledge
Previous experience in a sales office support role
