The 2M Group of Companies are looking for a passionate, experienced commercial and people manager to be the Managing Director of Chemir, our company in Spain, who specialise in the production and distribution of high quality raw materials.

What you’ll be doing…

The Managing Director will hold full P&L accountability for Chemir and provide strategic, commercial, and operational leadership to deliver sustainable growth, market competitiveness, and organisational resilience.

• Strategic management – Lead and execute Chemir’s long-term strategy by defining its vision and priorities, driving informed growth through market insight, managing risk, and ensuring alignment and engagement across the organisation in line with Surfachem Group values.

• Operational management – Oversee and optimise day-to-day operations by setting clear performance standards, ensuring scalable and compliant systems, managing supply chain excellence, and leading key initiatives and product launches that drive sustainable business growth.

• Financial management & profitability – Hold full P&L accountability by leading robust financial planning and governance, optimising costs and margins, managing risk and investment decisions, and ensuring sustainable profitability in line with Group requirements.

• Leadership & people management – Build and lead a high-performing organisation by shaping effective structures, developing talent and succession, embedding clear performance management, and fostering an inclusive, engaged, and accountable culture in partnership with HR.

• Stakeholder relations – Represent and promote Chemir externally by building strong stakeholder relationships, enabling strategic partnerships and commercial value, and acting as an ambassador for Chemir and the Surfachem Group across the industry.

• Innovation, sustainability & continuous improvement - Lead Chemir’s innovation and R&D strategy by driving market-driven product and process development, embedding sustainability and ESG principles, fostering external partnerships, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

• Health, safety & compliance - Provide visible leadership in health, safety, and environmental performance by fostering a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, implementing robust HSE frameworks and training, and maintaining effective risk management and emergency response plans.

Must have…

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills

• Multilingual communication skills, as a minimum fluent in Catalan, Castilian and English

• Strong organisational and planning capability

• Broad knowledge of the chemical sector, including suppliers and customer industries

• Strong leadership and team- building skills

• Strategic thinking and commercials acumen

• Proven senior commercial leadership experience with responsibility for people and resources

• Demonstrated success in delivering growth and managing P&L performance

• Graduate-level qualification in management or chemistry

• Digital literacy and data-driven decision￾making

Nice to have…

• Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent)

• International commercial experience and cross-cultural leadership

• Experience in regulated or high-hazard industries

• Experience in leading organisational transformation or scaling operations
