Applying for Production Manager

Full Time Role (37.5hr / week)

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Manager to join our Management team at 2M Equest, based in Consett, County Durham. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations within our small manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production, consistent quality and a strong health & safety culture.

What you’ll be doing…

• Supervise, motivate and lead a team of approximately 20 staff. Provide coaching, training and performance feedback while fostering a collaborative working environment

• Plan, organise and manage daily production activities to meet quality, cost and delivery targets. Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve productivity

• Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, conduct audits and risk assessments, and promote a strong safety culture

• Maintain high product quality standards and support ISO 9001:2015 compliance

Your background…

Must have…

• Minimum 3-5 years in a manufacturing production role with strong leadership and problem solving skills

• Proven track record of implementing and maintaining health & safety standards

• Experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits and staff training

• Strong experience in performance management, coaching and conflict resolution

• Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and multitask

Nice to have…

• Internal Quality Auditor training

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015

• NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent)

• Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)

• Demonstrated success in applying lean manufacturing techniques to deliver measurable improvements
